The Minnesota Twins got a sterling performance from pitcher Roberto Bush, but the Chicago Cubs still prevailed, 7-5. Bush threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Duncan O'Reilly earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. With the win over Minnesota, the Cubs improved to 45-37.

Chicago used a clutch hit from Abdul Williams to get the win. The left fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cubs ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
