Cleveland 5-3 Losers to Falcons

The home crowd had a good time watching the Cleveland Indians and Fresno Falcons get after it.
The Fresno Falcons knocked off the Cleveland Indians, 5-3, in National League action at Savemart Center. Fresno pitcher and Lakeside, Florida, native Mike Watford had an outstanding performance. Watford yielded 2 runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-5. Remington Khan notched his 6th save in 8 chances.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Les Burlingham didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Cleveland trailing 5-3, Burlingham retired William Kniceley to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Burlingham, with a wink.
The Falcons now have a record of 22-63 with the win over Cleveland.
