Udder Tuggers Claim Late Win
|
Temecula first baseman Randy Lacosta was instrumental in helping the Udder Tuggers triumph, 6-4, over the Pittsburg Diamonds. Lacosta was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Emerson Moore notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-1. Earning his 2nd save for Temecula was Rusty Levandowski.
Temecula used a timely hit from Brooks Hawkes to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Udder Tuggers ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"We take it day by day here," said Lacosta, "and today was a good one for us."
Pittsburg now has a record of 8-14.
