Giants Paste 4-2 Loss on Cardinals
|
San Francisco Giants starter Reece DeGennaro hurled his team past the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-2. The winner was DeGennaro. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Vinny Vanderbeek. Lee Shape nailed down his 19th save.
Left Fielder Henry Lane made an impact for San Francisco, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Vinny Vanderbeek in the top of the third. For the contest, Lane was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said DeGennaro.
