Indians Deal Reds 6-5 Defeat
Great American Ball Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.

The Cleveland Indians withstood an impressive performance by Cincinnati first baseman Atlas Alvarado to defeat the Reds, 6-5, at Great American Ball Park. Alvarado went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Francisco Vergara earned the save, his 24th, for the Indians.

Cleveland used a timely hit from Norbert Tapia to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Indians ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Tapia.

Cleveland now has a record of 56-38 with the win.
