Storm Roll Over JetHawks, 9-2
|
John Hensarling was a major factor in the 9-2 Lake Elsinore win over Lancaster. The Storm catcher was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Lake Elsinore reliever Leonardo Jenkins, now 2-0. The loser was Garry Alosi. The Storm raised their record to 10-18.
The Storm got a big at-bat from third baseman Micah Pence. For the game, Pence was 1-3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Lake Elsinore a 4-2 lead.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Pence.
