Carbajal Hits Two Homers in 5-3 Win for Detroit
The Detroit Tigers finished off the San Diego Padres, 5-3. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder A.J. Carbajal. Carbajal belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Tigers. Yordan Cuellar was the winner. He's now 7-4. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Austin Saunders. At 63-36, Detroit is in first place in the National League Sparrow Division.

With Detroit trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Carbajal hit a sinker from Austin Saunders for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Tigers ahead, 4-3.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Carbajal.
