Toronto Beats San Francisco, 4-1
|
Toronto turned a good effort from starter Alfonzo Jiménez into a win over the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. The final score was 4-1. Brent Brown earned the save for Toronto, his 11th of the year. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 65-34 with this latest triumph.
Toronto used the bat of Jayden Bice to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We had a good game plan," Jiménez said, "and we were able to execute it."
