White Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-0 Twins Triumph
The Minnesota Twins defeated the California Angels, 7-0, at Disney Stadium today. Leading the charge for Minnesota was first baseman Lon White. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Twins, at 61-40, lead by one game in their division.

There was more than one reason the Twins beat the Angels, but White's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

White attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
