The Indianapolis Ignition handed the Texas Rangers a sound defeat, 11-2, at PepsiCo Park. Lewis Lewis was a main contributor to the win. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 4 times and drove in 2 for Indianapolis. The win makes Indianapolis 41-63.

Simón Larreynaga had a big bases-clearing double for the Ignition in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Indianapolis leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from José Garza, who finished 3rd in the NL in wins with 16 in 2060, and swatted a double to right. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ignition ahead, 5-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Texas manager Kevin Hall. "We got trounced."
