García Heroics Not Enough in 6-5 Loss to Indianapolis
The Indianapolis Ignition weathered a fine game by Boston first baseman Edilberto García to upend the Red Sox, 6-5, at Fenway Park. García went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Indianapolis reliever Archer Knowles picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Owen Holiday absorbed the loss. The first-place Ignition have a one-game lead in their division.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Jason Stafford to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ignition on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Stafford.
