Late Rally by Cascades Locks Up 4-2 Win
|
The Vancouver Cascades picked up a win at Minute Maid Park, knocking off the Houston Astros, 4-2. Starting pitcher Julius Poole was a big reason why. Hayden Nelson closed the game out for Vancouver, earning his 2nd save. With the win, the Cascades have a record of 63-48.
Tony Wichmann, the 23-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wichmann contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the ninth inning to put Vancouver up, 4-2.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Poole said.
