The Santa Cruz Cruisers picked up a win at LoanMart Field, knocking off the Lancaster JetHawks, 8-0. Starting pitcher Logan Gates played a key role in the triumph. Picking up his 1st save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Cal Jeudi. The second-place Cruisers hiked their record to 20-12.

Jake Rogers had a big 2-run home run for the Cruisers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Santa Cruz leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jalen White and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Cruisers on top, 3-0.

"Logan was throwing strikes, locating well," said Santa Cruz manager Ferdinand Coleman.
