Royals Upend Brewers, 5-3
|
Royals second baseman Martin Camacho left his mark on his team's 5-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Camacho, who finished 2nd in the AL in triples with 10 in 2062, went 2-4 with 2 home runs for London in the contest. Dennet Harris closed it out for London, earning his 11th save. London occupies 5th place in the National League Rivera Division at 49-65.
London used a clutch at-bat from C.S. Jackson to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Martin leaves the last at-bat behind him, whether it was good or bad, and goes up there and competes on every pitch," said London manager Dave Cornaby.
