A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Colorado Rockies and Portland Hops.

The Colorado Rockies beat the Portland Hops, 13-4, at Coors Field. Liam Wollam was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. The 22-year old center fielder was a menace to Portland all day. The winning pitcher was Menudo Echevarria. He's now 9-8. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the Rockies.

Bradford Reese had a big 2-run double for the Rockies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Colorado leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Jayson Griffin, the 22nd overall pick in the 2055 draft, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 26th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rockies ahead, 4-1.

Portland manager Nelson Espinoza said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."
