The Miami Marlins overcame a pretty good performance by Cincinnati catcher Mason Bakman, beating the Reds, 9-8, at Great American Ball Park. Bakman was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Hiroshi Kamiyama, 8-5, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings.
