JetHawks Earn 4-3 Win Versus Stampede
The Lancaster JetHawks turned back the San Bernardino Stampede, 4-3, at The Hanger. Todd Schumacher, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Lancaster reliever Nathan Ervin got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Eric Burt was tagged with the loss. San Bernardino drops to 1-2.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Lancaster trailing 3-2, Schumacher jumped on a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Eric Burt and hit a 2-run home run to center. With one swing, the JetHawks had a walk-off win.

"Bottom line," said San Bernardino skipper Troy Bennett, "we didn't play well enough to win."
