The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Indianapolis Ignition, 9-4, at Citizens Bank Park. Liam Lyons, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Kirby Rogers, the winning pitcher, is now 11-6. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 3. With the win, Philadelphia upped its record to 62-62.
Noah Powell made an early impact for Philadelphia when he stroked his 35th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with two out in the bottom of the second, put the Phillies on top, 4-1.
