White Sox Lose Despite Valiant Effort by Wright
Gabriel Wright did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Chicago White Sox from losing, 6-5, to the Fresno Falcons at Savemart Center. Wright belted 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. After today's action, Fresno sits at 64-66; Chicago slips to 62-68.

The Falcons beat the White Sox in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Isiah Alvarado produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Beck, Alvarado gave his team a 6-5 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Alvarado.
