Starting pitcher Jared Iglesias pitched well enough to help the Atlanta Braves beat the Texas Rangers, 8-6. E.J. Rombough earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 7-3. Jake Brackin closed the game out for Atlanta, earning his 6th save.

Caleb Mancillas came through with a big-time hit for Atlanta. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Kevin Hall.

Atlanta, at 71-60, sits in second place in the National League Torres Division.
