Boston left fielder Christian Castillo made his presence felt in the 6-2 Red Sox triumph over the Virginia Black Bears. Castillo was 2-3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Boston is now 59-73.

Castillo contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Boston in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Castillo took a circle change from Perry Maddox and stroked the double to right. His 37th double of the season allowed the Red Sox to leap in front, 3-2.

After the game, Boston manager Daniel Knepper applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
