Udder Tuggers Fall Short at Sonoma, 2-1
|
The Stompers grabbed a win, 2-1, at Bright House Field, overcoming a fine effort from Temecula pitcher B.J. Voss. Voss went 6 innings and allowed no runs. With the win, Sonoma has a record of 19-17. Temecula falls to 21-15.
Alberto Isidor was the walk-off hero for Sonoma. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stompers pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"The old adage is true," said Isidor. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
