Cascades Come Back Late to Clip Giants
|
The Vancouver Cascades picked up a win at Oracle Park, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 2-1. Starting pitcher Jake Pasqualini was an essential part of his team's success. The second-place Cascades have won 5 in a row.
Lawrence Carla, the five-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Carla contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Vancouver up, 2-1.
Postgame, Cascades manager Nate Barrett complimented Pasqualini. "No question about it. Squall was terrific."
