The Minnesota Twins beat the Indianapolis Ignition, 7-5, at PepsiCo Park. Minnesota right fielder Raul Cathey had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 5 with 3 doubles. The save was credited to Dolph Gervais, his 23rd.
With Minnesota leading 4-3 in the top of the second, Cathey hit a fastball from Vince Anthony for a run-scoring double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Twins ahead, 5-3.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Cathey told the Minnesota Chronicle.
