San Bernardino catcher Valentin Montano was sensational. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Lancaster beat the Stampede, 7-5. Lancaster pitcher Yannick Wright got the win. He's now 2-2. Buck Aseltine was tagged with the loss. Jeff McElroy closed the door for Lancaster, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

Axel Belitsky had a big 3-run home run for the JetHawks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Lancaster trailing 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Buck Aseltine and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the JetHawks on top, 4-3.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Belitsky.

With the win, the JetHawks sit at 17-16.
