Udder Tuggers Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
The Udder Tuggers faced a stiff challenge from Lake Elsinore pitcher Mark Deluca, but persevered to claim a win at San Manuel Stadium. The final score was 1-0. Deluca went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Christian Crowe closed the game out for Temecula, earning his 2nd save. With the win, Temecula lifts its record to 2-2.
In the bottom of the fifth, Adrian Nimo delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Temecula designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Udder Tuggers in front, 1-0.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Nimo said.
