The Santa Cruz Cruisers powered past the Pittsburg Diamonds, 14-5, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Shane Duncan provided some of the pop. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Braylen Gaither, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 3.1 innings. With the win over Pittsburg, the Cruisers improved to 24-15.

One big at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning. Facundo Mejia, who leads the CAL in hits with 53, hit a run-scoring single off Pittsburg pitcher Anderson Mena. The Cruisers went on to win the game.
