Lake Elsinore Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Lake Elsinore Storm handed the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers a 4-2 defeat at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Third Baseman Warren Schneckenburger starred for Lake Elsinore. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lake Elsinore's record now stands at 12-25, placing them 8th in the California League South Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Schneckenburger hit a splitter from Stanly Guzman for a 2-run home run. The Storm, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Bottom line," said Rancho Cucamonga skipper Pierrick Gardella, "we didn't play well enough to win."
