The San Bernardino Stampede firmly defeated the Riverside Red Wave, 14-3, at Grainger Stadium. The San Bernardino offense was lit. Hernando Sepulveda, for one, had a solid game. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Stampede. Coyote Marrone, the winning pitcher, is now 1-1. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 0. With the win, San Bernardino elevates its record to 3-3.
With San Bernardino leading 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Sepulveda hit a fastball from Michael Schmidt for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Stampede ahead, 7-2.
