Cruisers Win, Borrego goes 3-for-5
The Santa Cruz Cruisers topped the Riverside Red Wave, 7-1, the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Liedson Borrego. On the day, Borrego was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Cruisers. Brent Steel, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The Cruisers' win now puts them at 32-14.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at LoanMart Field seemed to enjoy watching the California League action.
