The Martinez Clippers cruised to a win over the Visalia Rawhide, 14-2, at Rawhide Ballpark. Ángel Vidal led the way, going 3-for-6 for Martinez. Steve Foster was the winner. He's now 3-1. The loser was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Cordell Swanger. Martinez is now 19-27. Visalia is 14-32.

Martinez got a big at-bat from Jackson, Mississippi native John Kunkel, who in the top of the fourth hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Clippers ahead, 14-1.

"That game had disaster written all over it," said Visalia skipper Anthony Pizarro. "I could feel it."
