San Jose Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
In a high-scoring game between San Jose and Santa Cruz, first baseman Eufemio Canales was a difference-maker. The 24-year-old helped San Jose grab the 10-9 win. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, 3 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Oliver Caldwell, now 3-0, was credited with the win. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 3. The 6th-place Giants have a record of 25-26.
The Giants procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Lucas Grabau. In the bottom of the 15th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Canales said.
