Patterson Stars in 5-2 Stompers Win
|
Grant Patterson was instrumental in his team's 5-2 triumph over the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers. The right fielder was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Sonoma Stompers. The win was credited to Drew Park in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kenlly Delgado took the loss. The save went to Hyde Lekarczyk, number 2 for him.
Patterson had a key at-bat for Sonoma early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and gave Sonoma an early 3-0 lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Patterson.
Today's win puts Sonoma at 28-23, while Rancho Cucamonga falls to 24-27.
