Stompers 3-0 Victors Over Blaze
|
In a tight tilt between the Sonoma Stompers and the Bakersfield Blaze, Norman Clark was the deciding factor. The Sonoma right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Picking up the save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher J.D. Hofmann. Sonoma is now 29-27, Bakersfield 23-33.
With no one out in the bottom of the second, Denny Salieri put Sonoma in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Stompers went on to win the ballgame.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Salieri.
