Late Rally Gets 8-5 Win for Diamonds
|
No one was more impactful than Adam Morales in the 8-5 Pittsburg win over High Desert. Morales went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Philip Wade picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Marshall Green took the loss. The Diamonds go to 11-45, putting them last in the California League North Division.
Morales had a timely hit for Pittsburg in the bottom of the eighth. With High Desert trailing 5-4, he turned a 0-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 8-5, Pittsburg.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Pittsburg skipper Phil Edwards.
