Though he had a stellar game, Danny Robbins could not prevent his team, the San Jose Giants, from losing, 6-4, to the Pittsburg Diamonds. Robbins was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Pittsburg pitcher Caleb Glover earned the win, hiking his record to 3-4. D.J. Gates suffered the loss. Matt Lafitte picked up the save, his 6th.

Pittsburg used the timely hitting of Marc Privette to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Diamonds ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Nice to get this one," said Privette. "Wins have been hard to come by."

The Diamonds, at 18-40, sit in last place in the California League North Division.
