Behind an impressive start by Martín Maymi, High Desert beat Lancaster, 6-0. Damon Scoville earned the save, his 2nd, for the Mavericks. The Mavericks, now 28-30, have won 14 in a row.

Jerome Jones had a big bases-clearing triple for the Mavericks in the bottom of the seventh inning. With High Desert leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Randal Spafford and swatted a triple to center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mavericks ahead, 6-0.

"This team is headed in the right direction," said Maymi.
