The bats were silent much of the day at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. But 24-year old right fielder Vincente Sepulveda produced just enough offense to carry the Storm past the Pittsburg Diamonds, 3-1. Sepulveda was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Gavin Yamashiro got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 6.1 innings. Despite the win, the Storm have a lousy 18-47 record.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Sepulveda hit a 3-run home run off Julian Belrio. It propelled the Storm into the lead, 3-0.

"We gave it the old college try," said Pittsburg manager Chris Boeing. "But the old college try wasn't good enough."
