Riverside turned a good performance from starting pitcher Kendrick Thomas into a 4-1 triumph over the Martinez Clippers at Roger Dean Stadium. Riverside reliever Neddy Johansen was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Rainer Lange took the loss. Alex Hyser locked down his 16th save.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Carter Dumond had a game-changing hit. The Red Wave shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Rainer Lange, making the score 3-1, Riverside.
