Straker Leads Charge, San Bernardino Blasts Mavericks
The San Bernardino Stampede pounded the High Desert Mavericks, 15-2, at Grainger Stadium. San Bernardino catcher Kyle Straker had a game-changing performance. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The winner was Juan Lebron, who threw 77 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 3 hits. Graciano Pimenta notched his 1st save in 1 chances.

With San Bernardino leading 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Straker came up to bat against High Desert pitcher Preston Peace. Straker hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Stampede on top, 9-0.
