The 9-2 Santa Cruz win over Pittsburg was due in large part to Joshua Brooks. The Cruisers center fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Cedric Bastien, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held Pittsburg to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Aron Kuchan locked down his 6th save.
