Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Roger Dean Stadium.
Riverside Red Wave starter Woody Salley found his groove in his team's 5-3 win over the Stockton Ports. Riverside pitcher Tom Farinella got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Wendell Kamstra got the loss.
Sam Fuller went 1-3 with a hit by pitch for Riverside. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Wendell Kamstra. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.
Fuller attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Riverside is now 47-43, Stockton 49-41.
