Rattlers Best Giants in Pitching Duel
|
Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers starter Kenlly Delgado turned in a sterling performance against the San Jose Giants, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. Delgado picked up the win for Rancho Cucamonga, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-5. Rancho Cucamonga has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
The Rattlers got a big at-bat from first baseman D.J. Adamson. For the game, Adamson went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Rancho Cucamonga a 1-0 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said San Jose skipper Leon Becerra, "and it cost us."
