The San Jose Giants overcame a pretty good performance by Santa Cruz left fielder Quinn Reinosa, beating the Cruisers, 5-4, at LoanMart Field. Reinosa was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Cristóbal Cruz was the winner. He's now 11-5. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Antan Mujica. San Jose is now 54-39, while Santa Cruz is 54-39.

San Jose won the game in part because of Nigel Alexander. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Giants ahead, 2-0. For the game, Alexander had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
