With Late Score, Red Wave Beat Stampede
|
The Riverside Red Wave earned a close win over the San Bernardino Stampede, thanks in part to Dawlyn Bermudez. The Riverside right-hander played a key role in the 10-inning, 2-1 victory. Leo Almonte picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Christopher Havill was tagged with the loss. The Red Wave win now puts them at 51-46.
The decisive blow was delivered by Sugar Riner in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Christopher Havill to win the game for Riverside. The home crowd went nuts.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Bermudez.
