Gulls Tag Silverados with 4-3 Loss
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Ventura Gulls and Napa Silverados.
Ventura starter Jacob Lamb pitched well against the Napa Silverados at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Chris Wilfong earned the save, his 1st, for the Gulls.
In the top of the seventh, first baseman A.J. Leffler hit a solo home run to left. The home run, which was hit off of Duane Rodriguez, gave Ventura a 4-3 lead.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Leffler told the Ventura Today.
The Gulls now have a mark of 60-44.
