Mavericks Resilient in 3-2 Win Over San Bernardino
In a low-scoring affair between the High Desert Mavericks and the San Bernardino Stampede, pitcher Egor Cruz was the difference between victory and defeat. The High Desert left-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Mavericks win. The victory puts High Desert at 42-66.

The decisive blow was delivered by Hector Torres in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Axel Plute to win the game for High Desert. The home crowd went nuts.

"Egor's as tough as he is talented," said High Desert manager D.J. Schultheis.
