The Martinez Clippers got a strong performance from pitcher Mohammad Farmer, who stymied the Riverside offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Recreation Park. Yoachin Cabrera was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Owen Boni. With the win, Martinez pushed its record to 85-33.
Cain LeMoine aided the Martinez cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Martinez manager Josiah Gordon. "It's usually not just one thing."
