The Santa Cruz Cruisers picked up a win, 4-2, over the Riverside Red Wave at LoanMart Field. Kendrick McEnroe led the charge. The Brooklyn, New York native went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Santa Cruz. Lyric Shaffer earned the save, his 3rd, for the Cruisers. The loss makes Riverside 54-72.
Geronimo Aleman was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for Santa Cruz. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Murdock Chamberlain. It was his 27th RBI of the season.
Aleman called the win "an overall solid one."
