High Desert Stumbles Again, Falls, 7-1, to Santa Cruz
The Santa Cruz Cruisers trumped the High Desert Mavericks, 7-1, at Mavericks Stadium. Santa Cruz catcher Julian Younce was terrific. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The 7th-place Mavericks have lost 7 straight games.

Santa Cruz took a 4-1 lead on Younce's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Brandon Bright in the top of the sixth, propelled Santa Cruz to the win.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Santa Cruz manager Jake Braithwaite.
